Gua Sha

Gua Sha is a method of Traditional Chinese Medicine in which the rounded edge of a scraping tool (jade, rose quartz, horn, wood, brass) is stroked over an oiled area of the body surface. The scraping intentionally creates temporary therapeutic petechiae. These are referred to as “Sha” (redness).
Research has shown that these temporary therapeutic petechiae have anti-inflammatory and immune-protective effects, which can last for several days after just a single Gua Sha treatment. This method is particularly suitable for musculoskeletal pain, especially neck and shoulder pain, headaches but also for respiratory infections.
A gentler application of the Gua Sha tool is used as part of a Facial Acupuncture treatment. In this case, no therapeutic petechiae are produced; instead, local blood circulation in the face is improved, fine lines and wrinkles are reduced, and the overall complexion is refreshed.
You will notice and love the glow immediately after the first treatment.
