Cupping

There are different types of cupping. Depending on your constitution and medical history, the appropriate method will be selected for you.
In “fire cupping,” for example, a small flame is briefly introduced into a glass cup to create a vacuum before it is quickly placed on the skin. This created vacuum promotes blood circulation, stimulates lymphatic flow, and in TCM helps to expel factors such as wind, dampness, and heat. Due to the suction, visible but painless bruising usually occurs, which disappears after a few days.
Cupping is particularly suitable for muscle tension, colds, sleep problems, gynaecological disorders and is very effective for athletes after intense physical activity.
