Naturopath with OdA AM Certificate in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

Mounia Jammal

My professional beginnings were in radio broadcasting. Through studies in art history and Islamic studies, and several years working at a Parisian auction house, it was ultimately my own body that led me to Traditional Chinese Medicine.

During my own pregnancy, which was accompanied by hyperemesis gravidarum, I came into contact with TCM for the first time. This experience had a lasting impact on me and sparked my interest in TCM.

What continues to fascinate me about TCM is the breadth of its possibilities: looking more closely, recognising connections, and supporting people in understanding their bodies better and navigating periods of change. I find this perspective particularly valuable when it comes to women’s health.

Today, an important part of my work is dedicated to supporting women with endometriosis and adenomyosis, as well as those navigating fertility and trying to conceive, pregnancy, the postpartum period, and perimenopause and menopause. When working with chronic conditions such as endometriosis and adenomyosis, I repeatedly see how important it is to make space for each person’s individual situation and to bring different therapeutic perspectives together.

Throughout and following my studies, I have continued to deepen my knowledge. This includes further training in TCM for pregnancy, the postpartum period, fertility and trying to conceive, as well as endometriosis and adenomyosis. I also work with Master Tung’s acupuncture method, which I specifically incorporate into my gynaecological practice.

I am grateful for the opportunity to support people through these different stages, to share my knowledge and to help them better understand their bodies. Professional exchange is also an important part of my practice. I value working alongside medical and therapeutic professionals and believe that, particularly in women’s health, different perspectives can complement one another in meaningful ways.

Outside the practice, much to my family’s displeasure, I can spend hours in museums and galleries. I love discovering newly published books or seeing a new production at the Schauspielhaus. And it is rare for me to turn down a good coffee, a piece of very dark chocolate or an interesting podcast.

I speak German, French, English and Darija (the Moroccan language).
